The S. N. Brown Home 1577 Wayne Ave
This is the house that S. N. Brown lived in after 1890 until his death when it was sold to Harmon Rogge. This photograph is enlarged from one published in 1893. This house is long gone and is replaced with the Krogers grocery store.
There is a similar but smaller house located at 1633 Wayne Ave which was built on land owned by S. N. Brown and platted into smaller lots in 1889. It is not certain whether he actually lived at this home.
